This tabletop lamp is made from merbau hardwood and adorned with approximately 200 hand-cut brass pipes. Beyond its appealing aesthetics and practical functionality, this handmade piece carries a personal design narrative. Over the course of a year, the material and shape of this lamp organically evolved, allowing me the freedom to explore the process of making without designing it. This creative journey beautifully mirrors the unpredictable nature of the times we faced in 2020, where the availability of materials and supplies remained uncertain.
